Kiwi Chef Hamish’s cooking stems from fond childhood memories of his grandmothers kitchen and growing up with the luxury of fishing and hunting in his native country, New Zealand.
Hamish is Executive Chef at the iconic M on the bund and M Glam restaurants in Shanghai. Trained in New Zealand, he cooked his way to the United States and through Australia before posting himself in China.
With 15 years experience in hotels, private country clubs and fine dining restaurants. Hamish believes cooking isn’t just about creating good food- it’s a catalyst that brings people together. It can break down divides and can be used as a platform to create understanding.
In June 2020, Hamish hosted a Chefco Chefs table dinner at his restaurant, M on the Bund, showing off his favourite NZ products with a glamorous Shanghai bund backdrop.
